The managers of the Spanish value boutique Azvalor Asset Management are going back to university to provide a summer course for students interested in value investment.

The course, taking place between the 24th and the 26th of July at the Complutense University of Madrid, will receive over 90 students who are keen to improve their knowledge on investment, economics and finance.

Azvalor Asset Management said that the launch of the course was in line with its commitments to educate a future generation of asset managers and that to do so, it had partnered with the Spanish university to launch the educational initiative.

Álvaro Guzmán de Lázaro, the firm’s CEO and co-director of investments, will deliver the course along with value investment veterans José Ignacio del Castillo, economist and training director of the Juan de Mariana Institute; Javier Ruiz, investment director at Horos Asset Management; Javier Sáenz de Cenzano, director of the Azvalor Manager’s fund; Beltrán Parages, director of Investor Relations at Azvalor; Alejandro Estebaranz, investment director at True Value; and Michael Alsalem, director of the Azvalor London office.

Beltrán Parages said «We are excited to host our Azvalor summer course at the prestigious Complutense University of Madrid. This course marks the first of a number of initiatives Azvalor is planning to launch aimed at helping students to expand their knowledge on value investing.»
